Lomography Lag
As a result of an accidental exposure to a roll of film from my Diana Mini camera (oops), I´ve been lacking lately in lomo photos. I plan on finishing my current roll tomorrow and dropping it off at the photo lab to get developed. I should have the photos sometime next week :)

Happy Thanksgiving!
In honor of Thanksgiving, a photo from home:
| Newburyport, Massachusetts - August 2011 |
I'm baking and cooking the Thanksgiving dinner for tomorrow night (yes, I know, tomorrow isn't Thanksgiving shhhh)...should be an adventure! I'll upload photos this weekend so you can bask with me in the glory of my success, or laugh (with me? at me? I'm not sure) at my failed attempt! Either way, you'll get a taste of my foreign Thanksgiving! Although not literally. Which might be better for you. I hope everyone has a great day! EAT TOO MUCH FOOD, american style :)

El Retiro
Taken in El Parque del Retiro, one of my favorite places in Madrid. It's one of the first lomography photos I took - an accidental double exposure (I wasn't used to winding after each shot), but I like how it turned out. I'm really interested in the unpredictability of lomography, and the beautiful "mistakes" that can result from it.

Candles - Lomo vs. Digital
The candles of a small, rural church in Sardinia:
The picture to the left is digital; the picture to the right is lomography. Although the lomo photo looks like it was taken with a red tint film, it was actually normal color film taken with a double exposure. Amazing how different the light can look depending on what camera, setting, film, etc! I love the red color palette (I wasn't expecting it at all!) and the abstract feel of the photo, with the candles scattered around the frame in varying sizes. In this case, I much prefer the lomo photo to the digital one. However, I do like the digital images I got when they are put into black and white:
What do you prefer in this case? Lomo or Digital?
